Deaf Mental Health Services (DMHS) offers a variety of coordinated services and interpreters for adults who are deaf or hard of hearing or deaf-blind, use or want to use sign language as their primary mode of communication and who experience a mental illness. Case managers help people to plan, access, evaluate and coordinate services from their service providers. Plans are customized to each person's own needs and preferences. MORE INFORMATION An Outreach Worker meets at the senior's home to identify needs and discuss appropriate programs. The senior is then linked to supportive services including home delivered meals, congregate dining, food shelves, forms assistance, public health nursing, economic assistance, senior clubs, energy assistance, chore services or other needed community resources. Groups include: * Taxpayers who have disabilities, speak limited English or are minority, low-income, or elderly * Military service members * Tax professionals, both paid and volunteer Outreach includes education and resources about: * Income tax education and assistance for those age 60+, persons with a disability, those who speak limited or no English, those with an annual income of less than $67,000 * Tax credits and refunds and how to qualify for them * Minnesota tax laws * Taxpayer rights and responsibilities * Department initiatives, systems, and other announcements Some services are offered in languages other than English.
