American Kidney Fund
Help Paying for Medical Costs
Help paying medical bills and expenses related to medical care
Provides financial help to people with a health condition or disability so that they can pay medical bills or other expenses related to health care.
MORE INFORMATION
Financial assistance is available for End Stage Renal Disease patients in the U.S. and territories.
The Health Insurance Premium Program (HIPP) covers premiums for:
* Part B Medicare
* Medicare Advantage Plans
* Medicaid (if your state requires a premium payment)
* Medigap
* Commercial plans (including private, public and Marketplace plans)
* Employer group health plans and Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) plans.
These premium payments allow patients to continue their health insurance coverage, enabling access to physician care and medical treatment.
The Safety Net Grant Program provides grants to help people with health care expenses that are not covered by insurance.
* Typical expenses include the cost of transportation to and from dialysis, over-the-counter medicines, co-payments and other needs, for example, a blood pressure cuff or diabetes test strips.
