Grandparents Caring for Grandchildren program provides support and resources to grandparents who have taken on the role of primary caregiver of one or more children under the age of 18.

Staff or volunteers answer questions or talk confidentially with callers. Program can provide information, a sympathetic listener, advice and/or referrals to other resources. The HELP Program offers the following to Minnesota adoptive families: * Phone and email-based support from a team of HELP Specialists with advanced training in supporting adoptive, foster and kinship families * Connecting families with adoption/trauma/attachment-competent therapists, appropriate community resources, as well as educational offerings * Assisting eligible families with funding to help with the cost of therapy with HELP Program vetted therapists, Foster Adopt Minnesota educational offerings and eligible supports Resources and support are available to adoptive parents of children who have special needs and to professionals who serve adoptive families.

MORE INFORMATION The Minnesota Indian Area Agency on Aging is designated by the Minnesota Department of Human Service Board on Aging, providing Title III services to elders 60 years of age and older, caregivers of elders 60+, and grandparents/relatives raising relative children.
